RIVERLIGHT
Part sculpture, part illuminated landscape, Riverlight is built from individually cut and layered wood planes. A pale ash fish-shaped frame surrounds a quiet wilderness scene: mountains recede behind dense pines, two riders cross the foreground, a small cabin sits near the tree line, and an angler and water birds complete the river below.
Contrasting natural and dark-stained layers create depth without printed imagery. Small warm-white lights are placed behind the upper landscape to reveal the relief after dusk.
Resting on two discreet wood feet, the piece works as a console, shelf, mantel or reception-area object in lake houses, lodges and contemporary homes with natural materials.
